candles for your event
february 2023
Candles are welcoming and festive, and as the evening progresses, they provide the perfect ambiance for those post-dance floor chats. They bring the focus back to the table, where good food is eaten and pretty flowers are appreciated. While often a last minute thought, we always feel they tie together the decor and are a worthwhile investment.
Candles can often be rented through your florist (i.e. us) or you can DIY it. Almost all of our couples opt to rent for ease and cohesion in set-up. Regardless of your plan, here you’ll find our guide to various candle styles, as well as information regarding fire safety at your event.
On setting the ambiance.
types of candles:
Your classic candle and candle stick duo. Taper candles are elegant and beautiful, and they never seem to go out of style. With the large variety of colors and candlesticks available, they are a sure way to bring your vision to life. Our inventory of candlesticks include: cream+brown ceramic, clear glass, assorted pewter, and assorted crystal. They are often paired with curved or straight-walled hurricanes to protect the open flame.

Pillar candles will make a statement with their substantial width and varying heights. They can be styled as focal point of the table, with greenery and bud vases sprinkled around them. They can also be dispersed among larger floral arrangements or placed on mantles. We offer three heights that are typically ordered in clusters: 13.5 inches, 11 inches, and 9.5 inches. Our go-to are white pillar candles placed inside, but other colors are available upon request.

The most simple and dainty option. We always recommend a sprinkle of votives at a minimum. They have a huge impact, considering the easy set up and low cost. Our inventory of votive holders include clear glass, gold, and mercury glass. Clear glass is a popular choice if you have a particular candle color to show off.

Due to California’s fierce fire seasons, many venues require clients to protect the open flames with glass sleeves or candle vases. Always check with your venue to be prepared, and we promise these solutions don’t take away from the glowing ambiance.
